How to Add Images and Videos to Your WhatsApp Form

A form isn't just questions — sometimes you need to show something first. Here's how to add image and video fields to explain your product, service, or process before asking a single question.

Sometimes a Question Isn't the First Thing You Need

Most form fields ask for information. But before you ask, you might need to show something — a product photo, a service explainer video, a size chart, or a "here's what we do" introduction. WhatsLead's Image and Video field types let you do exactly that.

Adding an Image Field

  • Open your form in the builder
  • Click Add Field and choose Image
  • Upload the photo you want to display — a product shot, a portfolio piece, a before/after
  • Position it wherever it makes sense — usually right after your title, or right before the question it's explaining
  • Image fields don't collect an answer. They're purely for showing something to the person filling the form, mid-flow, exactly where you want their attention.

    Adding a Video Field

  • Click Add Field and choose Video
  • Paste your video URL (YouTube or a direct video link)
  • The video plays inline in your form — no need to send visitors to a separate page first
  • A short explainer video works especially well at the top of a form for services that are hard to describe in text alone: a treatment procedure, a renovation process, or a product demo.

    Good Use Cases

  • A furniture store showing a photo of each sofa style before asking "which style are you interested in?"
  • A clinic embedding a 30-second video explaining a procedure before the appointment form
  • A wedding photographer showing a portfolio image before asking about the couple's wedding date
  • A fitness coach adding a short intro video building trust before the enquiry fields
  • Keep It Purposeful

Image and video fields work best used sparingly — one or two per form, placed exactly where they add context. A form with too many visuals before the first question slows people down instead of helping them decide.
