How to Track WhatsApp Form Conversions With Meta Pixel and Google Analytics
Running ads that send people to a WhatsApp form? Add your tracking code in two places and you'll see exactly which campaigns bring real enquiries.
Ad Clicks Aren't Leads
If you advertise on Facebook, Instagram, or Google, the platform shows you clicks. What you actually want to know is how many people submitted the form. Without that, you can't tell a good campaign from an expensive one.
WhatsLead lets you add your own tracking code to a form, so your ad platform learns when a real enquiry happens.
Two Places for Two Jobs
In your form, open Settings → Scripts. There are two boxes:
Quick-pick buttons under the first box can insert common tools like Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Hotjar so you don't have to hunt for the snippet.
Example: Meta Pixel
Page Load Script — paste the standard Pixel base code from your Meta Events Manager.
Submit Button Script — add this single line:
<script>fbq('track', 'Lead');</script>
Now every submission is reported to Meta as a Lead, and Meta can optimise your ads toward people likely to enquire.
Example: Google Analytics
Paste your Google tag in the Page Load Script, and fire an event in the Submit Button Script — for example a generate_lead event — then mark it as a key event in Google Analytics.
Test Before You Spend
One Form per Campaign Makes Reading Easier
If you run several campaigns, give each its own form. Your response counts and your tracking then line up neatly with each campaign, with no guessing.
Custom scripts are part of WhatsLead Pro, and they are included in your free trial so you can set this up and test with real traffic.
